During the 1960s, a young student met with his guitar teacher, Reverend Gary Davis, and simply 'turned the tape recorder on', capturing Davis' unique fingerstyle playing in unadultered form. His pensive playing on Sportin' Life Blues is part of that collection, which can be found on the compilation called Angels & Demons.
